For 25 years, until January, 2007, I was employed as an Assistant Attorney General in the bureau which oversees cooperatives, condominiums and related entities. Since I am an engineer as well as an attorney, my specialty was and continues to be the resolution of complaints concerning construction defects. I have handled an estimated 750 of such matters, and made site visits in almost all cases. During the discussions that accompanied these building inspections, I have had the privilege of learning from many of the best engineers and architects in the field.
Today, I am a freelance mediator/arbitrator specializing in construction and coop/condo issues. I use my background in engineering, law, and psychology to craft an agreement that satisfies both parties and -- most importantly -- gets the job done.
I possess a sharp eye for detail, which I use to find even the smallest errors in text. I work well under pressure and can produce high-quality work in short periods of time. I have strong interpersonal skills and work with a wide variety of people.
I am looking for an opportunity to work with a team that runs on clear communication. I want to align myself with a company I believe in and where I can create positive change. I am always looking to learn more and am open to taking on challenging projects.
